O que é um eSIM?

Ao contrário dos cartões SIM físicos, os eSIM são programados remotamente, permitindo uma fácil troca e ativação de rede sem necessidade de trocas físicas. Is the Canada eSIM's unlimited data really unlimited?

Unlimited plans include 4 GB of high-speed data per day, then unlimited data at 1 Mbps. High-speed data resets every 24 hours. Hotspot isn't available on Unlimited, so choose a GB plan if you need to share your connection.

Which networks does the Canada eSIM use?

The Canada eSIM uses the Bell and Telus networks. Your phone connects to the available network automatically, with 5G where it's available and 4G LTE elsewhere.

Can I use hotspot with the Canada eSIM?

Yes, on all GB plans. Unlimited plans are for use on one device, so hotspot isn't available on them. Choose a GB plan if you need to share your connection with a laptop or another phone.

Does the Canada eSIM work in the USA?

No. The Canada eSIM works in Canada only, including near the border. If your trip also includes the USA or Mexico, choose the North America eSIM: one plan covers all three countries.

Do I need to turn on data roaming for the Canada eSIM?

Yes. Turn on Data Roaming for the Canada eSIM line in your phone's settings and leave it on while you're in Canada. You can keep roaming off on your home SIM.

Which Canada eSIM plans last 7 or 15 days?

1 GB lasts 7 days, 2 GB lasts 15 days, and Unlimited comes in 7, 15 or 30 days. All other GB plans last 30 days. Validity starts when the eSIM first connects in Canada, not when you buy or install it.

Which Canada eSIM plan should I choose?

For maps and messaging on a short trip, 1 GB (7 days) or 3 GB (30 days) may be enough. For regular use over one or two weeks, choose a 10 GB or 20 GB plan, valid for 30 days. If you stream, video-call often or don't want to track usage, choose Unlimited for 7, 15 or 30 days.

Can I top up the Canada eSIM?

Yes, on every plan except the 20 GB / 30 days plan. If you use up that plan, buy a new Canada eSIM plan. Unlimited plans don't run out: after 4 GB of high-speed data in a day, you stay online at 1 Mbps.

Como instalar o eSIM no iPhone?

O código QR chega por e-mail logo após a compra. Instale-o antes de viajar, com ligação Wi-Fi:

  1. Abra Definições → Dados móveis → Adicionar eSIM.
  2. Toque em Usar código QR e leia o código QR do e-mail. Se não conseguir lê-lo, toque em Introduzir detalhes manualmente e escreva o endereço SM-DP+ e o código de ativação indicados no mesmo e-mail.
  3. Dê um nome à nova linha (por exemplo, "Viagem") e mantenha o SIM habitual como linha principal para chamadas e SMS.
  4. À chegada, escolha o eSIM de viagem para os dados móveis. Ative o Roaming de dados nessa linha se o tarifário o exigir.

Works but slow

You only get LTE, which is not a problem in general , but internet connection speed is most times super-slow. Independent if you’re in a city area or country side. Used another SIM from another carrier which worked much better for my Canada trip.

Works well once it’s set up, but the setup process was not easy.

I had to go back and forth with customer support several times before the eSIM finally worked. The instructions could be clearer, especially regarding the APN settings, which I had to configure manually with the help of support. Once everything was set up, the service worked well. Overall, the service is good, but the installation process could be much more straightforward.
